Included on this page are some examples of media I have created and samples of my scholarly writing.

Skip to 2:57 for my section of the interview. I spent extensive time researching, selecting items, writing the labels and descriptions, and marketing the opening of the exhibit. The hardest part of it all was the dozens of hours it took me to cut out all the paper dolls I copied, many of which did not make the final cut to be included in the exhibit.

Click here to view the strategic report I made for my Rural and Small Library Management class. I had to create a faux library, complete with demographics and location, and create a strategic plan for it. Grade: 100%.

Click here to view the final paper I wrote for my World Civilizations II class. I analyzed and interpreted multiple primary sources to construct an argument about the historical topic of the Japanese empire’s imperialism during the 19th and 20th centuries. Grade: 98%.

This is a reference tool video I made for my Reference and Information Services class. In it I demonstrate how to use a database through the USM Library catalog. Grade: 100%.

Click here to view the Library Profile paper I wrote for Rural and Small Library Management. I conducted an interview with the branch manager of a library in my hometown and completed a survey of the library’s history, demographics, collections, and more. Grade: 100%.

This document includes an introduction reflecting on the development of my writing skills over the duration of the class, a revised and final draft of the final advocacy paper that was the culmination of the semester, and several artifacts I determined were indicative of my progress throughout the timeline of the class.
